A little over a week ago I picked up a new machine. It has a quad core processor, 12 Gigs of RAM and a 2 Terabyte hard drive. My old computer was getting to the point where it couldn't walk and chew gum. If I started any sort of intense processing it just couldn't do anything else.
I spent 2 days backing up everything on it to an external drive.
Yesterday when I shut it down I moved out the desk it is on so I could get behind it and work on the rats nest of wires and cables. I'm going to label everything before installing the new computer.
I am also going to pull the hard drive from my current computer and add it to the new one as a second drive.
Hopefully I can everything up and running with all the software I use re-installed by the end of the week.
On another topic I finally sat down and played one of the solitaire card games I bought a long time ago (what else was I going to do with no computer?).
The game is Onirim -
I actually beat it the first time, but just barely. It was a bit tense at the end. I thought I would run out of cards before I attained victory.
And that's about all I've been up to over the last several days.
It will be great when you have it finished.
